What motivates you?
Every person in the world can show different type of motivation. Motivation and personal development go hand in hand. According to Business Dictionary motivation by definition is "Internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested and committed to a job, role or subject, or to make an effort to attain a goal". A positive attitude is part of the tools that helps anyone reach a professional or personal goal.  Having a clear objective and definite purpose, effort, and perseverance will make it possible to achieve.  But, we need a dream, a vision, an idea that acts as a spiritual engine.
My personal motivation is driven by different elements that help build a better and stronger person everyday. The constant, conscious, persevering practice leads to changes in negative habits due to positive habits. A habit is something that you do repetitively and without thinking. Aristotle said “We are what we rapidly do, excellence therefore, is not an act but a habit”. We are full of habits many of them negative. But, I learned how to used the negative habits and make the best of it. My motivation is to do better and feel good with myself every day, transforming the negative environment will help not only me, but others to find a purpose to continues and be able to achieve their expectations.
People’s expectations are forged over time, but it is in our hands to transform, modify, negative habits into positive habits, until they are carried out automatically. You will feel motivation, joy of life, enthusiasm, passion and drive with the same intensity as before you felt anguish, discomfort, sadness, anger, irritability and laziness.

How do Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory explain your own and other employees’ motivation?
Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs explains that the motivation of any person can be relate to specific situations in time.  The behavior of any human being can be develop and driven by different needs. The motivation of a person will depend on the desire of something at that particular point in time. Maslow’s mentions five different factors that are part of these needs, physiological needs, safety needs, social needs, esteem needs. Organizational Behavior (2017) Maslow’s explains that our need is ranked “As we satisfy these basic needs, we start looking to satisfy higher order needs. In other words, once a lower level of need is satisfied, it no longer serves as a motivator” (p.182). These needs will develop base in a place and time. These five different factor can be applied to a regular daily basic routines of any person but do not show any strong research to support it. Now in business it can be use as a tool, to understand the level of need of every individual’s attitude and motivation at the workplace.
Herzberg’s Two-factor motivation mentions that his theory are hygiene factor and motivational factor. This theory is base on a survey, makes focus in a different aspect of need of any person. He refers to these factors as extreme satisfaction or extreme dissatisfaction. Herzberg’s theory presents by Organizational Behavior (20170) says:
Hygiene factors included company policies, supervision, working conditions, salary, safety, and security on the job. In contrast, motivators are factors that are intrinsic to the job, such as achievement, recognition, interesting work, increased responsibilities, advancement, and growth opportunities. According to Herzberg’s research, motivators are the conditions that truly encourage employees to try harder (p.186).
In my perspective the Maslow’s needs and Herzberg’s two-factor are right and are defined by the need of each individual according to their environment that makes them feel happy and complete. Maslow, in his theory, only defines the basic needs of an individual, that is, a model of basic needs for a society, which is no longer basic or simple. Herzberg show specific point that many people can identify in the workplace. The person can make decisions according to the motivation factors but if the individual shows the need of hygiene factors, will have a extreme dissatisfaction. I will say that depending on each individual the level of motivation can increase or decrease according with their personal needs.

How can employees remain highly motivated when telecommuting? What can they do to motivate themselves?
Entrepreneur Telecommuting defines the practice of working from home for business and communicating through the use of a personal computer equipped with a modem and communications software. Telecommuting can be a difficult subject to discuss. Many groups think that the people who work at home will get nothing done.  However, others believed that that by having this option it will make them feel happy and therefore more productive. Work from home can be beneficial for many reasons. It can increase productivity and decrease stress. Other benefits of working from home are: savings, flexible schedules, a boost of energy, whish makes sense considering that many companies lately are moving their market to virtual organizations.
The motivation for working from home varies depending on each person. Knowing that working from home will give you the ability to balance the work and family obligations can be a good key motivator.  There are many ways to keep yourself motivate to get the work done and accomplish the expectation of the company or organization.  For instance, having a schedule to start, organize by prioritizing the work of the day, work period with short brakes, work out, self rewarding. This will help any person to stay focus and productive.

What can the company do to motivate telecommuting employees?
For companies or organization, it can be difficult to motivate their employee when the managers or supervisor do not have direct communication with their employees. On the other hand, it is difficult to know if your employee’s are engaged with their work. According to the article No Face Time? No Problem: How to Keep Virtual Workers Engaged mention:
Without the ability to have organic conversations in the break room or at each other's cubicles, it takes a more concentrated effort for remote workers to engage with others … A lack of engagement can lead to isolation and loneliness, a lack of passion for the company's vision or goals, and feeling unhappy and unappreciated (Caramela, June 7,2018).
Still, there is much more the leader or person in charge of the group can do to motivate their employee. As an example, the employers can keep good communication, and recognize the good qualities that the person have, and utilize these qualities as a tool of motivation. Honesty and integrity will help build strong employee engagement with the company, among others. These actions of communication and motivation will benefit both sides the employee and company.
       Conclusion
I believe that working as a telecommuter will give me the opportunity to work at my own pace and time. It’s a great opportunity to have more family time, and adding more personal activity that will help me mentally and physically.  I am free to create my own schedule per day and I will avoid working excessive hours. Furthermore, by working from home I can adapt to new methods by creating a balance in time management and controlling my environment.
